Content Gap Analysis

Ahrefs Content Gap tool:

  1. Enter your domain.
  2. Enter 3-5 competitors.
  3. Shows keywords they rank for, you don't.

These are opportunities for new content.

SWOT

For your business vs top 3 competitors:

  • Strengths. what you do better.
  • Weaknesses. where they beat you.
  • Opportunities. gaps in market.
  • Threats. what they could do to hurt you.

Act

  1. Prioritize gaps by volume + intent.
  2. Create content better than theirs.
  3. Build links they have (plus more).
  4. Improve what they do well.
  5. Monitor quarterly.
